Whelping Complications and the Importance of Nutrition in Breeding Dogs
On Tuesday, October 27th, 2026, in the evening (exact time to be announced) join us for a 1-hour seminar presented by Erin Runcan, DVM, DACT, Professor Clinical in Theriogenology and Reproductive Medicine, as she discusses common whelping complications and the importance of nutrition in breeding dogs. Erin has co-published many scientific articles on canine reproduction and has travelled around the country to share her expertise with fellow veterinarians and dog breeders alike. Additionally, Erin shows and breeds Akitas under the kennel name Firebrand Akitas.
Dog Sports with Independent Breeds
On Tuesday, October 27th, 2026, in the evening (exact time to be announced), join us for a 1.5-hour seminar with Sharon Tarrant Wendelgass. She has been competing in obedience, rally, and other sports with her Siberian Huskies for 35 years and has been teaching for 25. Sharon will be discussing marker training, how to make training fun for both dog and human, and getting the most out of your independent breed. She will be using demo dogs to show how she trains her dogs from the ground up to encourage engagement and partnership. If you are wanting to get started in sports, refine your skills, or learn new tactics for training your dogs— this is not one to miss! Building a partnership with your independent breed is useful for companions, show dogs, and sport dogs alike.
The cost includes Dinner, which will be provided between the two seminars, and attendance for both seminars.
