Dryland Performance Dog Classes for Specialty Shows

Rules:
Entry must be an American Kennel Club or Canadian Kennel Club registered Siberian Husky (eligible under Chapter 15, Sec. 1 of the AKC Rules Regarding Registration & Dog Shows).
The classes offered shall be Non-Degreed DPD and Degreed DPD. There will be a class for dogs and a class for bitches.
If entered in a class for which full entry was paid, no additional fee will be required to also exhibit in the DPD class. If not entered in another class, the entry fee to exhibit solely in a DPD class will be a regular entry fee.
Spayed or neutered dogs are not exhibited in the DPD classes as required by the SHCA Standing Rules.
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for entry in the Non-Degreed DPD class, the dog must meet one of the following requirements:
Entrants who have been awarded an SHCA Dryland Working Certificate, and are additionally eligible for entry in a conformation class at an AKC event, are eligible to compete in the Non-Degreed DPD class
Entrants who have completed five (5) dryland events in the previous race season under the direction of a recognized Race Giving Organization, with rules and recorded results, may enter the Non-Degreed DPD class. A race season is from April 1 to March 31 of the following year.
A copy of the Dryland Working Certificate or list of the races in which the dog competed during the previous season must be sent to the Show Secretary when entry is made. Proof of qualification must be available at ringside if challenged.
To qualify for entry in the Degreed DPD class, the dog must have been awarded a DPD degree.
A copy of the DPD degree certificate must be sent to the Show Secretary when entry is made. Proof of qualification must be available at ringside if challenged.
For each entry in the DPD class, the Show Secretary shall request the dog's AKC registered name, AKC registration number, sex, and one of the following:
Names and dates of races, as well as miles per heat and total miles
Dryland Working certificate copy
DPD Degree certificate copy
NOTE: DPD Sweepstakes, when offered, will follow the same rules and have the same requirements as the non-regular DPD classes.
